The Indianapolis Star annually hosts Women's Expo, a three day event for women to shop, learn and listen to speakers. The Star wanted to hand out free newspapers to this audience to promote itself and all the benefits it offers women. They wanted some way to make the paper more visually appealing to their audience, and they wanted to promote four specific areas of the Star: career advice, shopping sections, relationship help and events listings.

I came up with a petal fold wrap for the paper, sealed with a sticker. It folded around the Star almost like a present, making it very appealing for people to pick up and look over. Each of the four flaps had a very colorful illustration that pertained to one area the Star wanted to promote. On the inside of the wrap was copy content to go along with the exterior illustration, layed out in an easy-to-read, quick-to-understand format.

Over 5,000 wrapped newspapers were picked up and the Star plans to use the same wrap for future events.
