Arts District Friends is a nonprofit organization that is the champion of Dallas Arts District and promoters of the District as a place for people. In order to encourage residents of the metroplex to visit the Downtown Arts District, Abstract Device decided they needed to capture the spirit and culture of the Downtown online.

Abstract Device did this by incorporating interesting facts and tidbits about the Dallas Arts District and through captivating Flash work that encourages the user to participate. Abstract Device also wanted the site to contain fresh information that would keep the user returning time and time again. Abstract Device did this with interactive Flash movies that are rotated quarterly, an extensive events calendar and an online eNewsletter. Visitors can also support the Arts District Friends through a secure online membership section. The content of the site is easily updated through an administration panel.

The end result was a highly engaging site that Arts District Friends volunteers can easily update. Since the launch of the site, The Arts District Friends has reported a sharp increase in its monthly Downtown Arts District Stroll and membership.
