The client wanted to package a group of unique teaching aids
into a handy reusable format that was capable of being produced
inexpensively. The finished project needed to be super colorful
to compete with the mountains of items teachers choose from,
but still remain economical. (Teachers salaries being what
they are.)
The proposition was to design an oversized, modified kit cover.
It held the individual teaching aids in a pocket on the right
and had the instructions printed on the left flap that was
designed with no pocket. The kit cover was printed 4/1 with
black being the ink color inside. The teaching aides were
printed 1/1 (black) on a glossy cover stock to ensure durability
and to differentiate them from other papers if they happen
to get misplaced while being photocopied.
The client was pleased with the final product and decided
to get a booth at an annual teachers conferance where she
sold more than she had anticipated and helped create more
buzz for her product.
