Success Story:
Women's Transportation Seminar
The Vancouver Chapter of the Women's Transportation Seminar
(WTS) was recently founded and needed to build it's membership
and profile amongst the engineering and transportation communities.
They wanted a promotional item that was fresh, appealed to
women and men, and that would act as an informative communication
vehicle.
I developed a newsletter template for the WTS that used earthy
colors and tones to reflect the Lower Mainland's commitment
to "green" transportation all the while appealing to the group's
predominantly female audience. A clichˇ, feminine newsletter
was not our goal. We established designs for regular features
such as the President's Message and Upcoming Events. The publication
is sent by email, thus providing the group with a low-cost
solution to their communications problem.
The success of this project can be summed up by the newsletter
coordinator's comments:
"Working with Sunlit Media was a great experience. Our initial
meeting was aimed at discussing our objectives, our purpose
and what we hoped to achieve through our publication. After
this meeting, Sunlit Media was able to completely capture
the essence of our organization and design the format with
a look and feel that suits us perfectly. Since launching our
first issue, we have received numerous enquiries, questions
and new memberships as a result of people seeing and enjoying
our newsletter. Everyone is always complimenting us on our
catchy yet still professional style." - Nicole Scott, Women's
Transportation Seminar
