Success story:
Brooklyn Historical Society
Client needed a way to organize a wealth of educational information about the history of Brooklyn into a kit. The kit would then be sold to teachers to use in their classrooms to help them teach high school kids. They also needed the kit to be produced inexpensively so that they could keep the costs down for the teachers.

First, I worked very closely with the client on developing a logo and identity for the project. The identity needed to be something that would attract high school kids to learn about history. I combined their black and white historical photos with more contemporary, bright, and vivid colors and illustrations. To save on costs, we used black and white xeroxing® on nice paper for the inside pages and color on the outside packaging and dividers. Also, I printed the outside packaging on Avery® sticker material and laminated the top of the stickers, then applied to archival boxes that we ordered online.

The kits contained a lot of information but looked professional, organized, and fun. The client sold out all the kits very quickly and ended up having to reprint more, several times. Also, they hired me to do several other kits with different historical themes.
