Jeff Fisher, the Engineer of Creative
Identity for the Portland
design firm Jeff Fisher LogoMotives, has received
several recent accolades resulting in awards to be shared with
clients and publication in upcoming design annuals.
P.I.E. Books, of Tokyo, Japan, has announced that a multi-piece
marketing packet for Action Sports Media was selected for publication
in the book "World Corporate Profile Graphics." Action
Sports Media is a collegiate sports marketing firm using game
day multimedia to promote 16 leading NCAA universities and
25 college athletics venues across the United States. Sara
Perrin, Director of Creative Services for the Portland Trail
Blazers and Seattle Seahawks at the time of the project, was
creative director on the effort.
The identity for the North Bank Café, in the St. Johns
neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, was honored with a 2004
American Graphic Design Award. Jeff Fisher LogoMotives has received
15 of the awards in the last eight years. In their 25th year,
the American Graphic Design Awards are sponsored by the industry
trade publication Graphic Design: usa.
The
graphic image for Black Dog Furniture Design was
recognized in a recent competition sponsored by Graphis magazine
and will be featured in the book "Graphis Logo
6." The book
includes work by more than 400 designers from around the world,
representing the "best in the business" according
to the event organizers. The Portland company’s logo
has received six other major international design awards and
is presented in another six design books.
The 2005 book "LogoLounge 2" will include the logo
for the Valles Caldera National Preserve in northern New Mexico.
The identity was selected from thousands of designs submitted
to the LogoLounge.com web site.
Jeff Fisher has received over 475 regional, national and international
graphic design awards for his logo and corporate identity efforts.
His work is featured in more than 70 publications on the design
of logos, the business of graphic design, and small business
marketing.
Fisher is a member of the HOW Magazine Editorial Advisory Board
and is also on the 2005 HOW Design Conference Advisory Council.
His first book, "The Savvy Designer’s Guide to Success," will
be released by HOW Design Books in early December 2004. Additional
